Conference on funding for the social sector
Social sector plays a pivotal role in economies of change. Young professionals have started engaging with complex and dynamic social problems through entrepreneurial approach (SEE).
The importance of impact and cause are paramount in these endeavors. The purpose of SEEs is to fill a market gap, change the world by creating sustainable solutions for social change; as well as, establish business models where profit is a means to financial sustainability, and not the sole purpose. Finding funding for such ventures, projects, and initiatives are a challenge. It requires a combination of patient, low-cost capital, grants and debt, with a long-term outlook.
The conference will focus on social entrepreneur and enterprises to understand what it takes to get funded, what would a funder look for before making an investment, and what are the various ways to make funding possible.
